Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense issued an emergency alert for Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, and Yanbu due to a potential threat, only to withdraw it minutes later.
According to the news agency AFP, the Civil Defense had initially instructed residents in the affected areas to immediately move to a nearby safe location.
Following the withdrawal of the alert, authorities advised citizens to remain cautious. They also warned against sharing images or information on social media regarding the interception of—or operations against—missiles and drones.
According to reports, the reason for issuing the emergency alert was not specified; furthermore, no details have emerged regarding the presence of any missiles or drones, nor have there been any reports of casualties or material damage.
